IF YOU HAVE A MOTORCYCLE DO NOT PICK THIS LODGE.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it! Our cottage was perfectly sized for two people (although if you had one or two kids I think it would still be comfortable). Loved the jacuzzi! They are close enough to Helen but without being right in town. I love how many nice hiking trails are nearby too! We hiked the double waterfalls at High Shoals Falls Trail (north 75 a little ways). It's close to Raven Cliff Falls too, but that trail was closed due to forest fires. I highly recommend staying here. Great place at a great price...one we could actually afford!!

Just OK. We stayed in this place for Octoberfest, and it was one of the "cheaper" stays. The Jacuzzi was nice and the interior spacious even with a loft bed. There was a TV with some cable, and if there are no plans to hang out at the cabin it will fill your needs.

The downside is that it is very close to the street and the cabins are on top of each other. The rate was $95 but add another $50-60 in fees which includes a cleaning fee. Outside was covered in cobwebs and such, which made getting in the Jacuzzi a bit iffy. Then we were serenaded by the Crackle Barrel soundtrack that our neighbors were playing about 8ft behind us.

Beariful view

All in all the stay was just OK. We were able to get the place at the last minute. We had to hide the motorcycles behind some one else's cabin so that they were not conveniently accessible to anybody with a trailer or pickup truck passing by.

In side you are greeted by the luscious sounds of a freezer that sounds like Darth Vader and a AC unit that sounds like it will fall out of the wall.

Attached is the view from the front door to the street, which is GA 356 and moderately trafficed.

Great place to get away. Great mountain views on the way. Very clean and keep up.

This getaway was a birthday gift from my boyfriend last year. It's all I've talked about for a year. Making reservations again today for my birthday this year. There's nothing like a cup of coffee while sitting on a porch swing looking at snow capped mountains.... Just across the road!!!!
